Throughout my career in ICT, I have always believed that technology only becomes truly valuable when it helps people participate more independently and fully.
With Changefied, we build VR training that allows neurodivergent people to safely practice situations from daily life.
What drives me is that we can use innovative technology to create practice spaces for people for whom daily situations are sometimes complex, stimulating, or unpredictable. In this way, we make self-reliance, confidence, and participation trainable step by step.
At Changefied, we connect technology, education, healthcare, and government with one goal: to contribute to a more inclusive society.
Erik Welling
Founder - Chief Technology Officer
I was still pursuing my bachelor's degree in Game Technology when I was asked to develop Virtual Public Transport. For me, serious gaming proved to be the ideal bridge between game development and traditional software development. I can work with all the aspects that make game development so enjoyable, while also making a real impact on society and vulnerable groups.
In July 2023, we became independent. It's energizing to see our young company grow and the potential for both Changefied and the people we can help with it.
In 2025, I will have completed my Master's in Game & Media Technology at Utrecht University and be ready to further develop our team and solutions.

At Changefied, I leverage my extensive experience in value strategy and realization to strengthen our growth and impact. My role involves boosting value growth, moving from strategy to practice, and supporting our mission to develop innovative solutions like Virtual Public Transport. I also bring my expertise in sustainable value growth to Changefied.
I am convinced that our innovative approach and focus on social impact make a significant contribution to the future of education and the self-reliance of vulnerable groups. This commitment reflects my belief that entrepreneurship and social responsibility go hand in hand.

With a Master's degree in SEN and years of experience as a behavioral specialist, I am passionate about creating learning environments that promote student development.
My work focuses on integrating Gert Biesta's three goal domains: qualification, socialization, and subjectification. I believe that education is not just about knowledge, but also about personal growth and social participation. My mission is to make education meaningful, so that students can develop into active and engaged citizens.
As the founder of Virtual Public Transport, I'm committed to innovative teaching methods that meet the needs of our modern society. Together with Changefied, we strive to make a positive impact in education and contribute to the future of our students.
Thomas Korver
3D Modeler
I was looking for a job in the 3D world where I could indulge my passion for modeling and animation design. I read about Virtual Public Transport in the newspaper and found it immediately fascinating. I was particularly drawn to the educational aspect of the game. I sent an open application to Tim. There wasn't an immediate opening for me, but I was so motivated that I stayed in touch.
I've been the 3D modeler for all of Changefied's games for a while now. I'm thrilled about it! The best part of my job is that it's incredibly varied and I can contribute to all aspects of the projects. This gives me great opportunities to develop further.

After graduating, I worked at NIPO for 20 years. After that, I looked for new work, but due to my neurodivergence, I struggled to adapt to the more modern way of working.
Fortunately, Alkmaar has strong support for people in this situation. They put me in touch with Changefied.
The people at Changefied are friendly, the work is creative and supports neurodivergent people like myself.
I also like that I was able to work independently from the start and that everyone has a voice at Changefied!

I love programming. The challenge requires creativity and problem-solving skills, and there is always more to learn. At Changefied, this works out perfectly!
Developing VR software is a challenging field where I feel I can continue to learn a lot.
Moreover, our company's aspiration is something that resonates deeply with me.
I went through a very difficult time myself for a while, but the colleagues here give me the understanding, time, and space I need to get back on track. That actually goes hand in hand with my perspective on Changefied: We bridge the difficulties for those in our society who need it.
